Basic Shots and Edit

For my first short film I started thinking about a story that can be done with few shots and be recorded in school, with a limited amount of actors, but still, have a meaning behind it. I came with the idea of a lone student making an orange their friend. Then I analyzed my settings and characters and all the shots I had to show, and I wrote each scene. After I planned everything, we got the camera and went out to film. William volunteered to be my actor, so we went to the cafeteria to record. After we recorded every scene, we went back to edit it. I gathered all the videos on Premiere Pro and cut and overlapped the shots. Lastly, I added the title, credits, and background song by Bensound.

It didn't come out as I expected, but I think it is entertaining for a first film. The overall look of the film could have been improved by fixing the camera positioning and angles. Although, I believe that the story and the editing were pretty successful in helping with the final result. I found this project very fun, and I learned the basics of film editing, angles, and types of shots.
